FabVOTD: Beyonce' Premieres "Run the World (Girls)" Video && Fashion Photos

As I am sure that you all must have heard, Beyonce's latest single, Who Run the World (Girls), from her upcoming fourth solo album, the slightly annoying techno rifts, and the chanting throughout, did not sit well with me as I listened through the air waves.

Yet, after Lady Bey's appearance on last night's, American Idol, with the last three remaining finalists, she premiered only about half of the video. But, that's all that needed to be shown for us to go crazy for her all over again. Between the couture dresses, structured accessories, and killer choreography, the song has definitely won me over.

FabVOTD: Lady Gaga Rocks Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 Shoes

Singer and performer, Lady Gaga is no stranger to avant garde fashions and trends. A trendsetter herself, she never shies away from turning runway designs into her everyday style. After, watching her latest video, Bad Romance, it further convinces me that Lady Gaga has no boundaries when it comes to fashion. In her video, she rocks Alexander McQueen's highly talked about shoe designs and designs, straight from the Spirng 2010 RTW runway. And she does it well. The first to be seen with these shoes on, I am sure that a new trend may soon emerge.

Luella Says Goodbye

Early last week, talented designer, Luella Bartley, shocked the fashion world when she announced that her Luella fashion label will be closing. Due to the poor economy, the label has stopped trading and has loss one of its main suppliers, Club 21. Bartley's licensed supplier, withdrew their partnership and decided to discontinue investing with the designer. More on the sad end, when you 'Read More'.

Spring 2010 Accessories Trends Pt. I

For those fashionistas whom like to get an early start on their fashion trends for the next season, here is a quick rundown on the most sought after accessory trends for Spring 2010.

* SMALL BAGS/ CLUTCHES
We can now give our Birkin and Kelly bags a rest! Small bags and clutches were splashed all over the runways during Spring 2010's Fashion Week. A few chic pieces were noticed on the runways of:

Carolina Herrera,

Chanel,

 Oscar de la Renta,

and Zac Posen.
* LOW HEELS
No more worries about categorizing shoes into 2 hour, sit down, or dancing shoes; low heels have been eyeballed as the new must have shoe for spring. Designers such as:

Chloe,

and Calvin Klein

have dropped down from the sultry stiletto heels to the kitten and sandal flat heels.

* SCARVES
For a simpler way to dazzle up an outfit, scarves are the way to go. Simple, cheap, and embellished scarves can make the most plain look, polished and put together.

Marni,

Anna Sui,

and Marc Jacobs

have all displayed colorful and playful scarves to tie together their collections.

* Silver Jewelry
Last season, jewel toned pieces were a must have, but a more classic finish of, silver jewelry has definitely made a come back from it's decade long rest. Not to say to completely abandon your gold and naturally embellished pieces, but pulling out the silver bangles, necklaces, and earrings will bring a classic look during the blossoming season.

Valli

and Gucci.

* TRIBAL/ ETHNIC PRINTS
Tribal and ethnic prints took over the runways during the Spring 2010 Fashion Week. With a new twist, designers were able to introduce the familiar print, in a new way.

Gucci,

Marc by Marc Jacobs,

and Matthew Williamson

gives the Spring 2010 season, a new way to be bold.

Fashionably, Eccentric Shoes: The Most Fab of Alexander McQueen Spring 2010's Collection?

As we all know Fashion Week for Spring 2010 collections, made it's debut to the fashion world, earlier this month. From the city-chic, sophistication displayed in Roland Mouret's collection, to Louis Vuitton's capacious afros; youthful, yet vibrant looks jumped from collection to collection. The New York Times, referred to Spring 2010's Fashion Week as, "A blast of youth, a glimpse into the future."

Looking at Alexander McQueen's collection, the extra-terrestrial and fashion world collided to create designs of chiffon corsets, in whimsical patterns of earth greens,yellows, periwinkle, and blues, a look that a fashionable, White Witch, of, The Chronicles of Narnia would swoon over.

Silhouettes of hourglass shapes and inverted triangles were depicted through the broad shoulders of silk,taffeta, and soft twill textures, and short, hem-lined pencil and bubble skirts accented with tulle.

But, the main eye catcher were his debut of 10 inch, platformed heels and ankle boots, with the shape of lobster claws. Already adorned as the most fabulous design out of all of his creations, there is a looming wait to see if this design of shoes will hit the closets of consumers.

The models wearing these shoes during the show, seemed to grace the runway, as if the heels were only 3 inches.

As fashion forward as us fashionistas may be, would anyone of you wear McQueen's ultra-fabulous, part-alien shoe design?
